A number of the top 10 pediatricians in the US are also leading pediatric hospitals in Florida.
This is thanks to the work of a group called Liberty Pediatrics.
It’s a small group of doctors, pediatricians and researchers who work in hospitals in North Florida and South Florida, and are passionate about the care of children and families.
The group is focused on preventing and treating childhood diseases and injuries, such as pneumonia and allergies.
And it has been gaining traction, and it is doing well.
Liberty Pediatric is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the group receives money from private foundations and individuals.
The group’s president is Dr. Michael DeMarco, who’s also the founder and director of the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, MD.
“We are the largest pediatric cancer center in the United States,” he said.
“Our center has a staff of almost 800.”
But what is Liberty Pedics main mission?
Its goal is to improve pediatric care, and its work is growing.
“I think the main mission of Liberty Pedi is to prevent and treat pediatric diseases and the like.
That’s where we’re trying to get the best care we can,” DeMarco said.
DeMarco has a passion for children and their families.
He was the pediatric surgeon at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and has also worked at the University of Miami Medical Center, the Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh and Johns Hopkins.
Liberty is working to improve the health of children at the hospital.
Liberty also has a focus on the pediatric community, and is working with other pediatric centers, and foundations, to improve services for families.
DeLucias first experience in pediatrics came in 1999 when he was a patient at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
He quickly found himself working with children, including young children with cerebral palsy.
“My job was to help with their socialization and interaction,” he recalled.
“I would talk to them, tell them how to be healthy, what to do with their toys, their blankets, and what to eat, but also what not to do, to make sure they were comfortable with that and making sure that their food and bedding was healthy,” he explained.
“That was really the beginning of what became my specialty.
My specialty is to help pediatric patients with their physical, emotional, and psychological development.”
DeMarco said he loves his job, but he doesn’t get the satisfaction of seeing the same kids over and over again, because he has to be there for the kids.
“The more time I spend working with kids, the more I see and the more that I get to know them, the better I get at helping them,” he noted.
In the US, there are more than 700 pediatric hospitals, with the largest being in the city of Baltimore, Maryland.
The hospital, which is part of Johns Hopkins University, has more than 10,000 beds.
The hospitals are run by nonprofit organizations and the staff is largely volunteers, DeMarco explained.
“We have a very diverse staff, and we’ve got people from a wide variety of backgrounds, from doctors to nurses, pediatric surgeons, nurses, dentists, social workers, social worker assistants, psychologists, social work aides, social skills trainers, and a lot more,” DeLucias said.
Liberty Pediatric’s main goal is not to make money, he said, but to help children and family members.
He said that many of his patients are children from low-income families, who have special needs, who may not be able to afford health insurance or other services, and they can be overwhelmed with the amount of work that has to go into caring for them.
“The kids have a lot of things to do; they have to read, write, write their reports, they have homework to do,” DeLuis said.
He added that the children and parents are usually given the same amount of time to attend school and to do homework as any other child.
“It’s a time that you really need a little bit of help,” DeMario said.
He said that some of his fellow pediatricians feel the same way.
“They are tired of seeing kids come in and do what you do, and when they go to bed they have no idea what’s going on,” he added.
“It’s very frustrating, and I think they’re just tired of it.”
In 2017, Liberty Pedicasts main goal was to improve patient care at Johns Johns Hopkins, which has a total of more than 9,000 children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with autism.
DeMarco says that he is passionate about that.
“One of the main goals of Liberty is to change the culture and improve the culture of the pediatric unit,” De Marco said.
Thats the mission of the organization, he added, and he said he is happy that it is gaining traction.
“There are so many children and youth who are being overlooked and not getting the care they need
