In July 2016, the world’s first “HeartGenetics” study of heart defects found that the average age of the patients’ brains was nearly the same as the average of healthy adults.

The age of their hearts, however, had significantly decreased from the previous years.

So, it is important to study the underlying mechanisms behind this change in the heart.
